Archos Arnova 7b and 10b G2 Slates Gearing Up for Arrival; Official Specs Out

If you have been racing towards pocketing the next Archos offerings, you are almost there. The wait is close to being over with the official specs of Archos Arnova 7b and 10b G2 tablets now pushed out of the labs.

These slates, considered excellent for watching movies in HD, should allow you to surf the web easily as these employ a clever combination of high-performance hardware and intuitive software.

Apart from these, you can access a wide range of applications, games, news, social networking and productivity tools. You can also access thousands of free and paid applications that could be downloaded directly to your tablet through AppsLib application store.

Both Arnova 7b and 10b G2 tablets will feature Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on-board and provide you options for 8GB and 4GB storage. They come powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor.

While the 7-inch touchscreen device features a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio, the 10.1-inch slate sports a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels in 16:9 format.

The Arnova 7b G2 is just 12 mm and weighs only 350 gram, where as the Arnova 10b G2 is housed in a thin shell of 12 mm and weighs only 680 grams.

Both the models include micro SD slots for expanding storage by up to 32GB. It sounds a good configuration for a low priced tab.

The devices also provide you with the option of selecting between capacitive and resistive touchscreen!
