Big Fish Subscription Gaming App Pulled from App Store

Big Fish was really happy with itself when it became the first to offer subscription based gaming service for the iPad. But the happiness has vanished sooner than it occurred.

The app, which was available from November 18th, has been removed from the App Store.

And, Big Fish is clueless as to why Apple did this. They are apparently trying to follow up with Apple to try to figure out what happened.

Founder of Big Fish Paul Thelen said he was surprised by Apple’s decision because Big Fish had worked with Apple for several weeks to ensure that it met the requirements for recurring monthly charges made through the App Store.

He added that the app was officially approved and Apple had even seen the press release before it went out.

Apple has also declined to comment on this, so that leaves us with stating the possibilities.

Maybe Apple was not happy with the content Big Fish had to offer. Maybe Apple was so happy with the whole idea that it did not want another company doing it for Apple. Well it could be anything until Apple comes out with a reason.

It’s sad Big Fish’s plans did not work out well.
