GameStop Sells Over 600K Call Of Duty Elite Memberships

Despite the plethora of problems that Call of Duty Elite is having right now, GameStop president Tony Bartel informed us that the subscription is essentially a “hit.” When it comes to the sales for Call of Duty Elite, GameStop has sold over 600,000 subscriptions.

That’s just from this retailer specifically. The premium subscription for Call of Duty Elite comes with more features, customization, Call of Duty Elite TV, Year round competitions, DLC, and a whole lot more. For $50, that’s not a bad deal at all especially if you’re a Call of Duty fanatic.

“In the case of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, we worked closely with Activision, Sony and Microsoft to pre-order and deliver nearly 600,000 instances of the Modern Warfare Elite DLC to date.” Tony Batel stated. Batel when on and said that this places ” the launch of Elite as one of our top 10 launches of the year so far” and it’s the “most successful DLC launch of all time” for the retailer.

With those sales on top of Modern Warfare 3’s record breaking launch day numbers, it’s obvious that we still haven’t had enough of Call of Duty.

Do you think services like Call of Duty Elite should be a standard for games? Let us know in the comments.
