Nokia Lumia Speculated to Ride AT&T in US

The recently unveiled Nokia Lumia Windows Phone handsets have impressed everybody in the event. We have been constantly updating you with the smartphones and the happenings around it.

The folks in the US will be interested to see the new developments flowering between Nokia and AT&T. According to the recent reports, talks are flying back and forth between the Finnish phone maker and AT&T on the launch of the Lumia phones.

Nokia had earlier revealed about the releasing of the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handsets in the US by 2012. The AT&T head of tablets division Glenn Lurie, accepted that they are working on to release the Nokia handsets in the US markets. He made it clear that the company will spend the dollars after analyzing every promotional period separately.

Nokia having a down in the U.S market over the years, suffered mainly due to the non-cooperation with the carriers. Recently, the company’s CEO Stephen Elop revealed that they are planning to re-enter the market early next year with handsets on multiple carriers.

They hope that their new smartphones based on Windows Phone 7.5 platform will attract more customers in the US. Meanwhile, AT&T, the largest GSM provider in the country has already released three Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices: one from HTC and two from Samsung.

It is also rumored that the talks between the two sides are regarding Nokia’s high-end smartphone, Ace, which is expected to be entering in the name of Lumia 900. After the launch of Nokia E71x several years back, this is really interesting to see the new combination with AT&T and Nokia.
