Apple iPhone 5 Existed, But Dumped Before iPhone 4S Launch

The iPhone 5 had created a lot of ripples, up until a couple of months ago. But then at the “Let’s Talk iPhone” event, Apple disappointed many fans by declining to disclose anything about the iPhone 5, instead choosing to launch the iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 4S came with the same old design when people where looking forward to seeing a new Apple product with an innovative design. After so many rumors of the fifth-generation iPhone having tapered edges and a teardrop shape, fans were disappointed to see the old design again.

Rumors suggest that the redesigned iPhone 5 had existed as a prototype but the device was allegedly slashed out a few weeks before the 4S launched.

The reasons for the killing of the prototype aren’t specific, but rumors are on about Steve Jobs being unhappy with the idea of an iPhone having a larger screen, which apparently ‘fragmented’ the iPhone.

So does the rumor suggest that Apple will never release an iPhone with a larger screen? The tear drop shaped iPhone 5, with all the treats it was rumored to bring aboard, would have been the apple of one’s eyes if it was released.

There are also whispers of Steve Job’s last project being the iPhone 5 and not the iPhone 4S. So is Apple keeping something under the covers?

Maybe the company might be hiding a surprise for next year. Apple isn’t commenting and with no sure details, we can only hope for time to reveal the fifth generation iPhone.
