Samsung Illusion Leaks in Verizon Document Again; Release Likely Soon

November 10, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It was in September we were fed with info that spoke about the Illusion that was being readied at Sammy’s stables. The piece of news that leaked out of a Verizon roadmap had then given us only scarce details of the handset that was to arrive.

The wait seem to be getting over, thanks to grapevine murmur that talk of Samsung Illusion gearing up to make its foray into daylight soon. It seems that Verizon is buckling the entry level device up for launch.

It is again a leaked page from the carrier that gives us an overall idea of Illusion’s hardware specs.

The phone features a 480×320 touchscreen measuring 3.5 inches and a single-core 1GHz Hummingbird processor. Under the hood, it houses a 512MB of RAM and 2GB of internal memory paired with a 2GB microSD card.

The device that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread includes a single three-megapixel camera too. Though the prices are not yet known, rumors are that it should be hitting the store shelves with a price tag of around $100.

Seems a pretty good offer, right? Do let us know what you feel.
