We know that many of you are waiting anxiously to play with the Galaxy Nexus smartphone which packs Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Now, it appears like the device might launch on Verizon’s network sometime in the near future.

According to the latest info, accessories for the much anticipated device have arrived at Verizon outlets ahead of the handset’s launch.

The arrival of the accessories means that the device might also hit Verizon stores sometime soon, although the carrier, for an unknown reason, is yet to officially announce a release date.

The accessories that are now available at Verizon include a shell/holster combo with kickstand and a silicone cover.

We have been hearing a lot of rumors regarding the release date of the device. Some suggested November release dates including November 10, 17, post-Black Friday, and November 21, while some have suggested even December.

We believe that the device won’t arrive this week since the DROID RAZR is coming out on Friday. We will let you know as soon as there is an announcement. So stay tuned.

Just to remind you, the Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor, and it shoots HD 1080p video.
