New Rayman Origins Trailer Should Get You Excited

November 9, 2011, By Christian Davis

Of all the games that have come out this year, one of  the ones that I’m looking forward to the most is Ubisoft’s platformer, Rayman Origins. The lovable, armless character has had trailers released throughout the year showing a lot of the title’s gameplay. The old-fashioned platformer is somewhat of a dying breed and more games like this need to be released. If Rayman is as good as I think it’s going to be, you’ll want to pick this game up when it’s launched, invite a couple of friends over, and have a really good time.

The trailer below is essentially the game’s launch trailer. The plot of the game has Rayman and friends go and rescue what appears to be the natives of his world who were “unjustly imprisoned.” From then the charming minute and a half long trailer does nothing but make you smile and feel giddy. It’s one of those games that gives you that innocent childhood feeling.

There’s no war, realistic references, or psychotic killers. It’s just a fun, happy, friendly game that is something we’ve all been missing. Rayman Origins is set to release on November 15th and a demo just released today on XBLA and PSN. So go play!

Here’s the trailer below. Let us know what you think in the comments.
