November 8, 2011, By Christian Davis

Obviously, we are all talking about that particular modern war shooter that was released today. So it’s no surprise that Konami’s Metal Gears Solid HD Collection might have slid under the radar. The HD collection comes with some of the series best titles such as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the PSP title Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. All have been revamped and revitalized with high definition graphics (1080p) on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Though it will be hard to break away from the other blockbuster titles that are coming out this year, there’s always room for some Metal Gear.

“We are thrilled to release The METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection which gives fans access to the fully re-mastered series for the first time ever” said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “This bundle is the ultimate addition to any gamer’s collection.”

These titles aren’t just lazy ports though. Konami has added some new features, specifically with the Playstation 3. This will be the introduction of the new “Transfarring” system which has you shared saved data with the PSP and continue your gaming on the go. Multiplayer will also be coming over to the titles as well.

Though there are a lot of games coming soon, will you be spending some time on Metal Gear? Let us know in the comments.
