The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone, the world’s first device to run Google’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS, is already popular. Now, we have a new info for those of you who are waiting anxiously for the arrival of the device on Verizon.

A new leak has given us a hint regarding the device’s price tag. According to the leaked screenshot, Costco will offer the new handset with a price tag of $289.99 on contract.

Check out the document which is proof on the matter.

The latest Android phone is expected to hit Verizon Wireless later this month, most probably on the 17th. If Costco is selling the handset for the above said price, the device might cost $299.99 if you get it at Verizon.

As you might already know, the carrier’s other two new LTE Android smartphones, the Motorola Droid RAZR and the HTC Rezound, cost $299.99.

The customers will definitely prefer Galaxy Nexus since it comes with Android ICS out of the box. The RAZR and Rezound run Gingerbread but will get updates at some point.

Just to remind you on the specs of the device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus comes equipped with a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor, and it shoots HD 1080p video.

Stay tuned for updates on the device.
