I’m Watch Gives an Android Twist to Your Wrist [Video]

If science would allow a man who lived centuries ago to visit the earth yet again to get a feel of the technology innovations happening in the present day world, chances are that he would go back and tell his folks that he had visited heaven!

What once was deemed fictional or a wild imagination is turning reality now. The latest addition to the list has born in the labs of Blue Sky, and that proves to world that even the blue skies hovering up above our heads could never pose a limit to our imagination!

If you still haven’t got a clue on what we are talking about, buckle up. You will soon get to grace your wrist with an Android watch which would allow you to access your calls, text notifications, photos, email, music and notifications from Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare. Sounds super cool right?

Blue sky, an Italian company, makes this dream come true through their innovative I’m Watch, the first real smart watch ever made. The watch, powered by a Freescale IMX233 application processor with 64MB of RAM and 4GB of flash storage, features a 1.54-inch curved capacitive TFT LCD with 240 x 240 pixel resolution.

It also houses a Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR for smartphone tethering and a 450mAh Li-Po battery that offers a talk time of up to 2 hours or a standby 48 hours w/o Bluetooth and up to 30 hours w/ Bluetooth.

However, don’t jump into conclusions when you hear Android phone – this device is not one. It just runs on Android apps and can pair with your Android devices, iPhone 3GS (with iOS 4.3 or superior), iPhone 4 / 4S and eventually with the Blackberry and Windows Phone 7.

I’m watch connects with your phone via Bluetooth and lets you see who is calling – on your watch. Since this watch comes with a mic and speaker, you can make a good use of it too. In addition to it, you can receive your text, Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare notifications along with senders and subjects of e-mails delivered to your smartphone.

The company also has plans of launching I’m Music service, which would allow users to subscribe to music service with on-demand access to songs, custom radio stations, and personalized playlists.

Till here, everything sounds perfect and cool, right? Now comes the hard part, the money part. Well, as if now we have reports that the price starts at €299 for the base I’m Color model.

Obviously, watches fall under luxury items. So you will definitely have a chance to opt for more expensive makes like one in Titanium or yellow gold or even white gold and diamonds. You can pre-order I’m watch via Blue Sky official I’m Watch website.
