November 5, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Asus is all geared up to launch the Transformer Prime on November 9th, with the promise of bringing to fans yet another gift for existing Eee Pad Transformer owners. After, the Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb update in the late September, the company is now bringing in another update to the Eee Pad Transformer Tablet. But then, this is not the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, but the pack comes with new features.

You might remember we had earlier updated you about the Transformer and its release, months ago.  With not many changes in the OS version, the pack comes with small incremental updates in the build version 8.6.5.18.

Asus have been always satisfying customers with timely updates and this time too they are providing enhancements for the Eee Pad Transformer. Asus’s Facebook page reveals that the new update pack comes with new features, performance enhancing and app updates.

Some of the notable features in the update pack are the App Backup, which will allow the users to save the non-Asus app and app data and restore it in another Asus tablet.

And, now you can backup Angry Birds and can resume playing the game in another Asus slate. Another smart feature is the Netfilx app, which comes preloaded with the pack.

Meanwhile, to increase the performance of the tablet, you can find enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity and a fix for the battery drain while docked.

On the app side, the pack comes with Google update in Books, Maps and Market, Asus Sync, MyCloud, Polaris Office and lot more.

The Eee Pad Transformer users will get the update over-the-air by checking the updates option in their devices within a few days.

Don’t forget to share you experience of the new update on your Transformers with us.
