Toshiba has announced that their Portégé Z830, the company’s new machine in the Ultrabook range, will be released in the UK at the end of this month. The device, which was unveiled back in September at IFA, comes with a price tag starting at £899.

Accompanying the new machine will be the company’s Satellite Z830 which is priced up at £899 – £999.

The two machines are not too different specs wise. But if you are opting for the Portégé Z830, you will be able to use the device in a variety of working conditions since it comes with EasyGuard which protects the device from knocks and bumps.

The Portégé Z830 Ultrabook, which runs the Windows 7 OS, weighs just 1.12kg and is only 8.9mm thick at its thinnest point.

The Ultrabook comes equipped with a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 and the latest 2nd generation Intel Sandy Bridge chips – i3 or i5.

It also comes with 4-6GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 3000. You will also get a 128GB SSD and the machine packs “Hi-Speed Start Technology” and Dolby Advanced Audio 2.

It comes with a battery life of 8 hours and also features USB 3.0, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The 1.3-megapixel webcam will satisfy your video calling needs.
