Grand Theft Auto V Set In Los Santos; Will Have Multiplayer

November 3, 2011, By Christian Davis

Though we watched the Grand Theft Auto V reveal trailer multiple times yesterday, Rockstar gave an official announcement today which came with some extra details and answers to some of the more prevalent questions about which we have been wondering. The upcoming Grand Theft Auto installment is set in Los Santos (Los Angeles inspired city) and will expand to it’s surrounding hills, country side and beaches. Making this the largest and “most ambitious” game yet. Of course we are all looking forward to the title and wondering even more information about the now announced multiplayer for the title, which made it’s first online appearance with Grand Theft Auto IV.

There isn’t any information given on the multiplayer aside from the fact that it will be present when the game is released. Whether it will stay open like Grand Theft Auto IV’s multiplayer or have a more traditional gameplay style is still unknown but hopefully we find out soon.

Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser claims the game will be “another radical invention of the Grand Theft Auto Universe.” None of that was really seen in the debut trailer, but we’ll see what the future holds for the new title.

If you could add something cool to Grand Theft Auto V, what would it be? More customization, elements from past games that are gone, RPG elements? Let us know in the comments.
