LG DoublePlay Android Smartphone Should Hit T-Mobile Stores Today

We know that some of you are waiting for an in-store demo of the T-Mobile LG DoublePlay smartphone that comes with a new form factor. The device is expected to land in the carrier’s stores today.

As you might know, the LG DoublePlay, which comes with dual touchscreens, has been available on sale at T-Mobile.com with a price tag of $100.

But we definitely encourage you to pay a visit to your nearest T-Mobile store later today and check out the handset.


In case you were living under a rock for a while and missed the features of the device, the DoublePlay comes equipped with a 3.5 inch primary screen and a 2.0 inch secondary screen.

The smaller display is placed in between two halves of a QWERTY keyboard. Dual displays will allow you to keep in touch with your social life on one screen while you surf the net, text or check email on the other.

The device, which runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and it also features a 5 megapixel camera which is capable of recording 720p video.
