Samsung Galaxy Nexus US Release Date Update; Likely to be Delayed a Bit

November 1, 2011, By Leo Xavier

Earlier, we brought you an official render of the 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus which was found on Samsung’s website. Now, it’s the latest info on the release date of the device in the US. It appears like the handset’s arrival in the US might be delayed a bit.

Samsung hasn’t announced the US release date of the Galaxy Nexus smartphone, although the company confirmed that the device will launch in Europe on November 17th.

Now, the US launch date appears to have been pushed to the end of November or maybe even to December.

Many have been waiting anxiously for the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus since it was unveiled last month. One of the features that have made the device so attractive is the Google Ice Cream Sandwich OS that it will run.

As you might know, the device was earlier rumored to launch on Verizon on November 10. Now a new rumor is suggesting that the device will be released in the US by the end of November or even worse in December.

At a recent Samsung European launch…the company confirmed that the European launch will precede the device going on sale in America and the rest of the world”, that’s according to an article from The Telegraph.

But that also hasn’t given us a solid launch date. If the US release is after November 17th, the company might be planning to launch it on November 24th, otherwise known as Black Friday in the US. A December release is also a possibility.

Will you wait that long for the device? Or will you prefer the Verizon Droid RAZR that’s coming next week? And don’t forget about the AT&T Galaxy S II Skyrocket which is coming as early as November 6th.

Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
