November 1, 2011, By Christian Davis

There really are a lot of potentially great games coming out this year. With all the fuss about modern war shooters you may have forgotten about the first person shooter that really made the Xbox what it is today. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be here in two weeks and any fan of the original should definitely be picking this title up. It’s got new high definition graphics, Kinect support, a classic graphics mode, and six reimagined multiplayer maps from the original game. This is a great treat to the fans for the game’s 10 year anniversary.

“Halo: Anniversary’ is a token of gratitude to our fans for the incredible passion and dedication they’ve shown for the franchise over the past ten years,” said Dan Ayoub, executive producer of publishing at 343 Industries. “We’ve poured all our passion and energy into making ‘Halo: Anniversary’ a truly faithful remake of the original classic, and we can’t wait to join the fans online and commemorate ten years of historic gaming together on Nov. 15.”

Halo Anniversary is available for pre-order now for only $39.99. Those who pre-order the game will receive the Master Chief Avatar Armor and the Grunt Funeral Skull game modifier. This skull has the lovable Grunts go out in plasma filled explosion. Will this be better than the Grunt Birthday Party Skull that has small children laugh after a successful headshot? We’ll see. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments.
