Panasonic GX1 Images Surface [Image Gallery]

Cameras announce their way into markets by a splash of leaked images and snippets of news. That route is being followed by Panasonic’s upcoming GX1 camera too.

A handful of images of the shooter are doing their rounds in the internet. And in the stills, the camera is a hunk with a retro vibe, but packed to the brim with technology (and that means full HD video recording).

The GX1 is a level up the Panasonic GF line, and the camera is supposed to sport a 16-megapixel sensor with a high ISO at 12800.

There is an all new image processing engine under the hood and a touchscreen display panel (read a “very fast” AF920k touchscreen) in the back.

The Micro Four Thirds shooter, paired with one of the amazing compact X-series lenses, sports an LVF2 external viewfinder with 1,440,000 dots and a Lumix GX 14-42mm kit lens. That’s all about the specs list we have currently.

The shooter should be available in two colors – black and silver. You might have to hang around for a short while before we can get you the price and release dates on this boy.

Here’s a gallery of the pictures we found here.
