Frank West and Rocket Raccoon Gameplay Videos For Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Revealed

The first thing that should come to mind when thinking about Halloween should be a talking raccoon and zombies. At least that’s what came to Capcom’s mind when they released the new gameplay videos for Frank West and Rocket Raccoon. Capcom’s latest fighting game venture, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has created both good and bad waves with fans of the series. With all thing considered, this game is looking like an exceptional update to the original Marvel vs Capcom 3. There’s more character diversity, new moves, new stages, new mechanics, and new balancing.  The latest additions to the roster were questionable at first, but they seem to fit in just fine.

To keep with the Halloween spirit, we’ll take a look at Frank West first. You know this character from the fan favorite Dead Rising series. The photographer first made his fighting game appearance on the Nintendo Wii with Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Naturally, you’d think he’d play similarly to that game and in actuality, he looks a lot more fun to use in this title. A lot of inspiration from his moves came from the Dead Rising series such as combining of weapons, the suplex, the serve bot helmet and even photography. The interesting aspect about photography is that each time he lands a hit with the camera flash, he levels up. It appears that each level up that occurs upgrades the weapons he has at his disposal. So for instance, his baseball bat may then be changed to a chainsaw. It’s hard to tell in the video, but that seems to be the case. His damage output also seems to be very high too. Here’s his character video below.

The next and probably most surprising character to the roster is Rocket Raccoon. The character leak a few months back had us surprised but interested in the new character. Rocket Raccoon has got some great moves in his arsenal and looks to be a very good character to pick up. He can burrow underground to avoid attacks, he has a variety of traps he can plant to keep enemies at bay, he’s quick and agile, and has a level 3 hyper combo that is very entertaining.

Here’s his character video below. Let us know what you think of the last characters in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 in the comments. Who are you looking forward to using more, Frank West or Rocket Raccoon?
