Apple iPhone 4 gets Fully Functional Siri [Video]

We have good news for all the iPhone 4 users out there who have been wondering about when you will be able to play with the voice assistant Siri. It appears like you will be able to do that in the very near future.

Earlier, we brought you the info when Siri, which is one of the most touted features of iPhone 4S, was ported to the iPhone 4. The only problem at that time was that Siri wasn’t talking back. That appears to have changed now.

Steven Troughton-Smith, the same person who was responsible for the initial Siri iPhone 4 port, has now managed to get Siri fully working on the iPhone 4.

As you might know, Apple earlier claimed that Siri would only be available on the iPhone 4S and many believed that only the iPhone 4S hardware could manage Siri.

But the video, which comes to us courtesy of 9to5Mac, is proof that the iPhone 4 is capable of running Siri. The white iPhone 4 in the video is running Siri as smooth as the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4 is handling voice tasks with ease and there is absolutely no sign of any slowdowns.

But unfortunately, a download isn’t still available. That is because the developer doesn’t want to end up in any legal battles against Apple.

But he has given an interview on the matter. According to him, the process just took him 10 minutes to complete since he already had all of the files at hand. Around 20 steps are required to complete the process and it requires a ‘validation token’ from the iPhone 4S which has to be jailbroken.

We will let you know as soon as a download is available. In the meantime, check out the video below and you can comment about it below.
