MineCon Tickets Sold Out

October 28, 2011, By Christian Davis

The Minecraft themed convention, dubbed MineCon is approaching pretty rapidly (20 days from now) and surely we’re all excited to see the games official release and any other activities that may be going on during the new convention. If you want to attend however, it’d appear that you’re already out of luck. The tickets went on sale in August and it only took two months for them to sell out. For Mojang’s  first Minecraft convention, that’s pretty quick. How many tickets were sold though? Quite a bit actually. The managing director for Mojang (the creators of Minecraft and Scrolls) has tweeted the convention’s maximum capacity this morning. The tweet simply says this, “4500 fans will come to MineCon. We can’t fit more people unfortunately.”

With all the tickets sold out and the room at maximum capacity, there doesn’t seem to be any chance of getting in now if you’ve been undecided on purchasing a ticket. Will there be another MineCon next year? No clue really. According to the MineCon FAQ, this is the only MineCon planned as of now.

MineCon takes place in Las Vegas on November18th and 19th in the convention center at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Were any of you able to buy a ticket in time? Let us know in the comments below.
