Hulu Lands in Japan Via Sony Bravia and PS3

Japan now has the services of Hulu. The video streaming service has joined hands with Sony and they will now be seen on the Sony Bravia HD TVs as well as Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation 3.

And with that launch comes a milestone; Hulu will be the first non-gaming application that PS3 will host in Japan.

Hulu outlined their mission in Japan in the following way:

“We’re on a mission to make the world’s premium content available to people all over the globe. Thanks to our hardworking Japan team, today we are one step closer to realizing this mission.”

 

Subscribers in Japan, will henceforth be able to have unlimited access into a vast library of videos that include feature films and TV shows.

Films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Armageddon, Men in Black and Troy, and thousands of episodes from previous seasons of TV shows including 24, Bones, Criminal Minds, Desperate Housewives, Fringe, Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Heroes, LOST, NCIS, Private Practice, Prison Break, and Ugly Betty will be available, all for ¥1,480 per month (that’s a mere $19.50).
