Sony DEV-5 and DEV-3 3D Binoculars are Here At Last [Video]

In the coming years we are definitely going to see big advancements in 3D technology. At the present moment, we are seeing the 3D touch in smartphones, portable game consoles and Smart TVs. Now, we can add more gadgets into that list.

From now on you’ll be able to record your own 3D videos all thanks to Sony. The company has delivered its 3D binoculars, the DEV-5 and DEV-3 models.

The DEV-5 combines the magnification capabilities of binoculars and the recording capabilities of a camcorder.


The new gadgets pack an Exmor R CMOS sensor that will allow you to capture still images as well as full HD video in AVCHD 2.0 format, and the binoculars will record 3D video as well.

The Dev-5 features high magnification of up to 20x total zoom (10x optical and 10x digital), and comes equipped with built-in GPS for all your geotagging needs. The DEV-3 will provide you with 10x zoom.

The DEV-3 comes with a price tag of $1399.99, while the DEV-5 retails at $1,999.99. Both the models are available for pre-order at the moment and should be available next month.
