Nokia Symbian Anna Update Rolls Out in the US

Nokia seems to be going all out to please their Symbian fans. The Finnish company has just released the Symbian Anna update for the handsets in the US. You might remember we had earlier updated you about the company’s Anna OS, its features and the devices that will get it.

The Nokia C6-01, E7 and N8 are the handsets which will get the Anna update now. This update was of course expected, as the company had some time ago revealed the Anna update for the N8 smartphone. That was about two months ago, if you would remember.

The Anna update pack comes with many improved features that will surely make your Symbian handsets more enchanting.

It offers a fresh look, as it comes with new icons and wallpapers. You can also find a split screen view for Messaging, Mail, Browser, Phonebook, Calendar and Maps.

Users can now use new Map version, which comes with options like better search, a public transport network view and a new check-in feature for sharing place information via social networks.

 

The Symbian Anna update also comes with features like virtual QWERTY keypad for fast typing, new browser with advanced search features, improved calendar, Mail Microsoft Communicator Mobile, new versions of Ovi Store and QuickOffice and many more that will increase the performance and usability of the smartphone.
