Early Access To Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Demo Comes With Battlefield 3

October 25, 2011, By Christian Davis

Of course you want to check out Mass Effect 3’s newly announced multiplayer! We all do. So would getting the demo early convince you to buy Battlefield 3? For some, yes it will. Attaching some sort of early access to a demo or beta is pretty common these days. It happened with SOCOM 4 and the Resistance 3 beta as well as Infamous 2 and the Uncharted 3 Beta.

It’s a marketing ploy that works most of the time and though it’s not needed for Battlefield 3, it will probably sway the opinion of those who are deciding between Battlefield 3 and that other Activision war shooter that’s coming out very soon.

Access to the multiplayer demo only works for those who bought the game new however. The online pass that came with your game gives you access to the demo when it becomes available in January 2012.

Battlefield 3 is out now and if you’ve been on the fence about whether you should get Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3, this could be the deciding factor. Or you could just get both since they each play completely different from one another.

Should Mass Effect have multiplayer or will it feel like an after thought like so many other games who tack on multiplayer? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
