Batman: Arkham City Sells 4.6 Million In The First Week

October 25, 2011, By Christian Davis

I expected nothing less from the stellar game that is Batman: Arkham City. Rocksteady has done a remarkable job with the title and I’m glad to see it sell so well. 4.6 Million units in a week is a great accomplishment and Rocksteady should be proud to have developed the best Batman game the industry has ever seen. This is more than double the units sold for the first title, Batman: Arkham Asylum during the same time frame.

In further news, the game is also the highest reviewed in Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 title on Metacritic, one of the best resources for reviews. So what’s next for Rocksteady? I honestly think they should make another superhero game. Maybe something that hasn’t been touched yet, such as the Flash. Or maybe even do something that we’ve already seen in the past such as Spider-Man or Superman. The team over at Rocksteady are obviously a group of talented people and anything they put their hands on will obviously be a well polished and near perfect title.

Who’s gotten their hands on Batman: Arkham City? Let us know what you think! What type of game would you want Rocksteady to develop next?  We’ll have our review up for the game early this week, so stay tuned.
