Nokia HTML5 Maps Now for Android and iOS; Offline Mode on Offer

October 24, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The Nokia HTML5 maps are not for Nokia smartphones only anymore.

Yes, things do change, folks! The HTML5 version of the map has been rolled out for Android and iOS platforms as well. Check out the new features that came along with it.

Remarkably cool in the browser based Nokia maps is the new offline mode. This gets you out of the data roaming headache; just download your map and turn off your data connection before heading out.

Plus there is database of information on POIs to give you more details on interesting things you may want to check out while on the move. You can use the public transport directions as well.

The HTML5 maps also offer satellite view, public transport view, and live traffic views. You can also make use of functionalities like pinch to zoom, routing for walking or driving, and saving of favorite locations. The map was earlier in beta and could be downloaded.

Interesting right? Check it out at here and let us know if you liked it.
