Steve Jobs was Working on Next Apple Product the Day Before He Died

Words fail to describe what Apple meant for Steve Jobs. Apple celebrated the life of the great man, who lost the battle against cancer.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Apple’s design guru Jonathan Ive and board member Al Gore were among the many who attended the memorial function held at Apple’s Cupertino campus.

Apple stores around the world were closed for a few hours during the ceremony, paying respect to Jobs.

“Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life”, the famous line by Jobs sure is touching.

He worked for bringing up Apple as a brand his whole life; he sure did work on his last day alive as well. Yes, Apple partner Masayoshi Son, CEO of Softbank has confirmed it. Here is what he said.

Son said that he visited Apple for the announcement of the iPhone 4S, at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California. When he was in a meeting with Tim Cook, the CEO said, ‘Oh Masa, sorry I have to quit our meeting. When asked where Cook was going, he said, ‘My boss is calling me.’

That was the day of the announcement of the iPhone 4S. Cook told Son that Steve was calling him to talk about their next product. And the next day, he died.

We have already had rounds of speculation that Jobs was working on the next Apple product the day before he died.

Though it has now been confirmed, we do not know for sure which product he Jobs was working on. It is speculated that next year’s iPhone 5 was the last product Jobs worked on.
