NTT DoCoMo Winter-Spring Line Up Includes 24 New Mobile Devices

Guys, this is the biggest ever line up offered by the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. Its super-diverse 2011 winter- 2012 spring offering includes 24 new mobile phones, 14 of them smartphones, which cater to a broad range of needs of the Japanese consumers.

The lineup includes smartphones for DoCoMo’s extra-high-speed next-generation LTE service, Xi for mobile data communication at up to 75 Mbps, and smartphones equipped for mobile-wallet (Osaifu-Keitai), infrared-based data exchange, one-seg mobile TV and tethering.

We have dual core CPUs, large HD quality liquid crystal screens, and great cameras for the smartphones. These phones are capable of giving earthquake warnings as well, thanks to Area Mai transmissions from the Japan Meteorological Agency. The smartphones will have access to services such as i-concier for push-based concierge-like personal assistance.

In the offering, 8 of the devices are sophisticated feature phones, compatible with i-mode mobile Internet platform. Many of the devices come along with the convenience of wireless charging as well.

And for easy sorting, searching, and managing of stored content, all of the 24 devices are compatible with docomo Palette UI.

The carrier  also announced two new services for its smartphones, dmenu and dmarket. Dmenu gives access to a wide range of apps, plus contents from diverse providers, plus enriched versions of i-mode content, all optimized for easy to use smartphone interface.

Dmarket offers movies, music, e-books and Android applications and more. The services will be launched in mid-November. Japan, are you ready?
