Sony PS Vita Official Launch Date Out; US, UK and Europe to Get it on Feb 22nd

Gaming freaks, we get to hear that the much awaited PS Vita is already on its way to your midst. The Sony creation will reach your hands by February 2012.

The company has made an official announcement of their PS Vita release dates for the markets in the west. You might be aware that the device will be first launched in Japan, this December.

At the Web 2.0 Summit, Sony’s President Jack Tretton disclosed the PS Vita launch date as February 22nd in the territories of Europe, Africa, Australasia, the US, Middle East, Canada and Latin America. However, it is disappointing that details about the data prices for the 3G version of the device were not revealed.


The PS Vita is priced at $249 for the Wi-Fi model and $299 for the 3G version in the US. Meanwhile, in Europe the respective variants come at 249 euros and 299 euros. For those in the UK, the Wi-Fi and 3G units will cost £229 or £279 respectively.

The expanding title library of the device consists of impressive games like Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Call of Duty and Street Fighter X Tekken and more.
