Call of Duty Elite Beta Closing Today And Will Probably Be Closed By The Time You Read This

October 18, 2011, By Christian Davis

The Call of Duty social networking site, Call of Duty Elite has been in beta for quite a while now. The beta began on July 14th and I honestly thought it was going to stick around until the ship date of Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th.

I’m sure there are a few questions about the closure of the service and we’ve got enough information for some of the standard questions that you’re all wondering about below.

The Call of Duty Elite Beta is closing at 12:00PM pacific time, which is probably going to be when you read this. Although the Connect, Compete & Improve sections have been closed in preparation for Modern Warfare and Elite’s official launch on November 8th, the Career page will be open to all and will still contain stats for Black Ops.

All beta activity will carry over to the official release as well, so any friends or unlocks that you’ve gotten will still be there.

That’s all the information that we have. How often did you guys use Call of Duty Elite beta? I did a few times, but was too busy to really dive into it as much as I wanted to. Let us know what you thought of the beta below in the comments. Do you think it’s cool to have this feature? Are you looking forward to Battlefield 3’s social network more?
