Apple fans appear to be whole heartedly accepting the launch of the iPhone 4S, iTunes 10.5, iOS 5 and iCloud. According to available info, the iPhone 4S has passed the 4 million sales mark while the iOS 5 has already been installed in more than 25 million devices.

The stats from Localytics show the wide acceptance of Apple’s latest iOS. They conducted a survey on iOS compatible devices such as the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G, and a huge number of these devices have updated to the iOS 5 in the period between October 12 and 17.

It appears like the iOS 5 operating system has been installed in one out of every three compatible devices within this period. Out of the 33 percent iOS 5 devices, only 2 percent is iPhone 4S and the rest is the iPads, previous iPhone models and iPods.

Apple iPad 2 (36%) and iPhone 4 (35%) are the devices which have mostly upgraded to the iOS 5.

Meanwhile, the new OS were also seen in the iPad (33%), iPhone 3GS (27%), iPod Touch 3G (23%) and iPod Touch 4G (17%).

The increase in the number of installations is mainly due to the new OS’s impressive features like the new iOS data storage rules, iCloud, Twitter implementation, new app versions and so on. The switching to the new OS is also more easy and friendly.
