All you BlackBerry freaks out there might have been troubled by the outage that was reported a couple of days ago in a couple of regions where the device is active. Now that it has been addressed, let’s tell you something that could make you excited.

The new BlackBerry 7 OS is gearing up for release. You would remember, the company had already introduced their handsets running their latest OS earlier this year. They now are all set to usher in the devices to your midst.

The two BlackBerry models 9380 and 9790 have been announced now, specially targeting the application developers along with the two view modes: Portrait and Landscape.

The BlackBerry 9380 is believed to be the formerly spotted as BB Curve 9380. The smartphone sports a 3.2-inch display with 360 x 480 resolution and 189 ppi. The handset with a touch interface is believed to be the company’s first BlackBerry Curve model.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry 9790 comes with a 2.44-inch screen with 480 x 360 resolution and 245ppi. It is equipped with a touch + keyboard interface. The application developers will either have to incorporate an additional touch support for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 apps or change the Torch 9800 apps for the landscape view.

RIM has now given very precise and short outline of the two BlackBerry phones. We are looking forward to see the phones being unveiled at this week’s BlackBerry DevCon event in San Francisco. Stay tuned to know more on that.
