AT&T Huawei Impulse 4G Gets a Detailed Scrutiny on Video

A while ago, we gave you the latest news on a high-end Android device on AT&T. Now let’s take a peek at another device that is available on the carrier. Although the AT&T Impulse 4G is a mid-range smartphone, the device comes with support for AT&T’s 4G HSPA+ network.

The Huawei Impulse 4G won’t be so appealing to you specs wise. But the device’s price tag will definitely be a head turner. It comes with a price tag of $30 with a two-year contract.

Last week, representatives from Huawei and AT&T demonstrated the capabilities of the device at the CTIA trade show in San Diego, California.

The Impulse 4G, which runs the Android 2.2 “Froyo” OS, comes equipped with an 800 MHz Qualcomm processor and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with 720p HD video recording. The price tag is the answer for those of you who are worried about the lack of Gingerbread.

The device also features a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display and is powered by a 1500 mAh battery. It has 512 MB of built-in memory and the microSD card slot supports cards of up to 32 GB.

The device  appeared to be fast and responsive. We believe that many entry-level smartphone owners coming from a feature phone experience will do just fine with this device’s specs.
