This is the era of the 3D TV and all the companies are coming up with the latest 3D technology on their devices. Now, Toshiba has come up with their new TV from the Regza series.

The company has introduced their flagship model in the Regza line up in their home terrain believing that it will start a new revolution of 4K TVs.

This new Regza TV sports a 4K 2D display with four times the resolution of Full HD and features glasses-free 3D. It boasts a large 55-inch LCD screen that will allow the viewers to experience the 3D effect even when they watch side-by-side.

Christened 55X3, the TV is equipped with an inbuilt face detection camera that will help to produce the natural 3D picture. The camera makes the required adjustments by spotting the positions of the people’s faces in front of the TV.

The 3D viewing system produces nine pictures which covers the range of easy-to-see and hard-to-see zones. By face-tracking, the picture moves left and right on the screen and the field of vision of the viewers coincide with the easy-to-see zones.

In 3D mode, there are nine parallax pictures with 1280 x 720 pixels; meanwhile in 2D the picture comes at 3830 x 2160 pixels that means four times than the former. To view the 4K picture, connect the TV to the PC via the separately available adapter.

You can watch full HD content like TV broadcasts and Blu-ray in more vivid colors by the ultra-resolution technology incorporated in 55X3.

This model is slated for a mid-December release in Japan at a price around 900,000 yen. Stay tuned to know about the price and launch of the new Regza TV outside Japan.
