Microsoft Announces Xbox LIVE Public Preview Program

October 14, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Earlier, Microsoft announced a major update for the Xbox LIVE Dashboard at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at Los Angeles. We know that many of you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the update. But it appears like the company has decided to test it before its release.

Microsoft seems to have decided to enhance it and so has announced a Public Preview Program. The company has invited its Xbox members for a preview of what the update is going to be.

The company wants potential guinea pigs to try it out and weed out all the bugs before it is officially released to the public.

Just in case you have been under a rock and are unaware of what the update is all about, the Xbox LIVE update will bring features such as a new design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation and new beacons to play online with friends.

You will also get deeper Facebook integration, new cloud storage for game saves and Xbox LIVE profile. And most probably the update will also include new features after the preview program.

You can register for the program by heading here. And don’t forget to comment about it below. Are you interested in trying it out?
