Nokia 603 Symbian Belle Smartphone Now Official [Video]

Nokia has announced its latest Symbian Belle smartphone, the Nokia 603, at a media event in Turkey. Read on to find out why the device is fresh and affordable.

The Nokia 603 features a 3.5 inch clear black display with nHD resolution of 640 x 360 pixels and 65 million colors. It offers up to 6 homescreens and extended range of widgets which you can arrange any way you want.

On the inside, there is a single core 1GHz processor and on the back there is a 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom that can record 720p video at 30fps. It packs software for photo and video editing as well.

The phone measures 113.5 x 57.1 x 12.7mm and weighs 106.9g. You can choose from 6 swappable rear covers as well. There are Pentaband reception (WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100, GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900), Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and the latest HSDPA 3G which offers downloads up to 14.4Mbps, for all your connectivity needs.

Another big aspect that comes along with the device is Near Field Communications, which is becoming one of the most popular technologies today. The Nokia 603 is the seventh smartphone from the company that packs NFC.

The battery provides 7 hours of talktime and 460 hours in standby. The phone comes preloaded with Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Shazam and YouTube apart from a four times faster browser and the latest version of the Nokia Maps. It has Microsoft Office Communicator, Quick Office, Adobe PDF reader and Vlingo as well.

The Nokia 603 will start shipping in Q4 of 2011, with a price tag of €200 before taxes.
