Asus Zenbook Series Ultrabooks Now Available for Order at $999

Ultrabooks are the new line of powerful laptops which come with impressive features especially in the design department. These devices are beginning to rule the tech space, with many a maker lining up their products. The latest in the line is Asus, who has introduced the much-anticipated Ultrabook series, christened Zenbook.

The Zenbook series devices – UX 21and UX 31 – have kept the expectations of the Ultrabook line up alive, in fact. The svelte and sleek devices come enclosed in a silver exterior case, featuring a concentric circle design on it.

The UX 21, the thinnest Ultrabook, comes with a thickness of 0.11-inch at the front and 0.67-inch at the back.

The company has incorporated the instant-on feature that promises a standby time up to 10 days and will help to resume the system in just 2 seconds. The devices are packed with the latest Intel second generation Core processors, SATA revision 3.0 solid state storage (SSD), Bluetooth 4.0 andUSB3.0.

The USB Charger+ technology will allow the devices to be recharged via USB3.0 faster than in the normal cases. The company has also used a V-shaped channel with a unique copper fin design to enhance the airflow and cooling properties.

The Asus Super Hybrid Engine II technology promises 25 percent more battery life than what the normal Ultrabooks get and also saves more energy. If the battery charge falls below 5 percent, the machine will automatically save the files and prevent data loss.

On the entertainment front, Asus has loaded the Zenbook devices with their own SonicMaster technology that provides support for the wide sonic spectrum of surround sound for the room. Both feature a 0.3-megapixel camera and chiclit keyboard.

The UX 21 sports an 11.6-inch HD 1366 x 768 display whereas the UX 31 has a 13.3-inch HD 1600 x 900 screen.
