LG fans might remember the LG Flip II, a special smartphone that surprised everyone with its dual screen and split keyboard design. We had earlier updated you about the mystery handset first spotted in London four months ago and about its scheduled November launch on T-Mobile in the past week.

The latest is that the smartphone has been renamed LG Doubleplay. The Android 2.3 device comes with smart features that will impress you big time.

The LG Doubleplay comes equipped with two touchscreen displays: the main HVGA screen with a 320 x 480 resolution and a secondary screen placed in the middle of the slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The main touchscreen carries the Android icons at its bottom. Meanwhile, the second screen displays eight app spaces, of which six are inbuilt like the Calendar and Messaging, and two are user liked ones. It is ideal for the thumb typists and two-handed users.

The device will be sporting a 5-megapixel camera with LED support on the rear. It is believed that the phone has a thickness little more than the Motorola Milestone 2. It has 4G support too.

The phone is expected to be available at a price of $150 with contract from November 2 on T-Mobile. Have you decided on playing with the LG Doubleplay?
