Samsung’s latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, has been listed for pre-sale at retailer J&R. The device, which is the Honeycomb-equipped follow-up to the original Galaxy Tab, is available in two configurations.

The 16 GB version of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus can be yours for $400, while the 32 GB version comes with a price tag of $500.

The price is definitely a bit steep for a tablet this size but the device will be appreciated by those who are looking for smaller slates over the popular 10 inch variants or even the company’s 8.9 inch variant.

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is expected be a lot more successful than its predecessor, since it runs Honeycomb which is the made-for-tablets OS.

Just to refresh your memory, the new tablet comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ connectivity, a 3 megapixel rear camera, and 2 megapixel front facing camera aimed at video chats. The device also has a microSD card slot for expanded storage.

The display comes with a resolution of 1024×600 and the tablet is powered by a 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery.

You can expect the device to be available in October or early November. We will let you know as soon as there is an announcement on the matter. If you want to get the device, head to the J&R website here.
