If you think there are still not enough tablets to choose from, think again.

Lenovo has come up with the IdeaPad A1, which is now available for pre-order. This one could easily be an option for those who want to stick to a budget.

At $199, the 2GB version of the tablet costs the same as the Amazon Kindle Fire.

Let’s see if the Android 2.3 Gingerbread IdeaPad is on par with the Kindle Fire in terms of specs as well. The Lenovo IdeaPad A1 features a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, and is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP A8 processor.

The tablet comes with 5 megapixel rear facing camera, and 2 megapixel front facing camera, 2GB of storage on board, offline GPS and navigation, Bluetooth, WiFi, and microSD slot and stereo speakers.

Yes, the IdeaPad A1 has hardware components that the Kindle Fire lacks –  like the cameras. But the Fire has the advantage of all the digital media services it offers.

The 2GB version is available for $199, and if you can spend $50 more, you will get the 16GB version of the IdeaPad A1.

So which one do you prefer? Does the Kindle Fire sound better? If you really want one, head here.
