HTC Sensation XL Beats Powered Smartphone Arriving Next Month

October 7, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Here is something more out of the HTC Beats partnership –  the all new Sensation XL. This is the second HTC device integrated with Beats Audio technology and has a massive 4.7 inch screen, the biggest ever on a smartphone.

Other smartphones, including the galaxy S II and ZTE Skate have 4.3 inch screens. Looks like the Sensation XL could also give the smartphone/tablet hybrid Samsung Galaxy Note, which has a 5.3 inch screen, some tough competition.

The 9.9 mm thick HTC Sensation XL is powered by a Qualcomm 8255 1.2GHz processor, and runs the HTC Sense 3.5 overlay.

The smartphone  comes with an 8 megapixel camera that has a 28 mm wide angle lens, with f/2.2 and BSI sensor.

Plus, there is lightweight Urbeats headphones created exclusively for HTC to integrate with the Beats audio profile on the device.

The smartphone will be available next month across EMEA and Asia Pacific. A limited edition bundle will come along with the device that includes special edition Beats Solo headphones, over at EMEA.
