October 6, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Cheer up T-Mobile subscribers! The carrier is expanding their myTouch line up and is all set to release two new LG Smartphones – myTouch and myTouch Q – on their network.

You will be able to enjoy the two 4G capable handsets on the carrier’s large fast 4G network in the coming days.

Both the phones come with some impressive features, well suited for fresh smartphone users. Though they sport a few differences, one striking aspect about them lies in the design.

The myTouch, which was earlier spotted, comes with a 3.8-inch touchscreen and a virtual keyboard with Swype. Meanwhile, the myTouch Q sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a physical slide-out full QWERTY keyboard.

Talking of the notable similarities of the smartphones, both of them run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The two devices sport 1 GHz Qualcomm chip and a 5-megapixel shooter with 720p HD video recording.

Additional to the rear camera, the myTouch device also sports a front-facing snapper that allows video calling through the T-Mobile Video Chat supported by Qik.

T-Mobile promises customers that through their ‘worry-free data plans’, they can enjoy all the internet features such as web browsing, email, social networking services, free and paid applications via Android Market and much more.

On the entertainment front, both the handsets come incorporated with applications such as T-Mobile TV in Mobile HD, Netflix and YouTube.

The new set of tools introduced by T-Mobile to help customers ranges from Set-up Wizard, Tips Widget to Genius Button.

Both the phones will be offered in different hues  – the myTouch will be available in black and white , while the myTouch Q will appear in gray and violet. They are likely to arrive in time for the holiday season.

Stay tuned to know the pricing and launch details as we go looking for more on that.
