Motorola Droid 4 Codenamed Maserati; Slide Out QWERTY Keyboard, 4G LTE Included

Motorola fans will love to hear this. The company is coming up with a new Droid 4 smartphone, codenamed Maserati.

It is believed to have derived the name from the famous Italian sports car brand Maserati Gran Turismo.

Rumored specs of the handset reveal that it might come with a slide out QWERTY keyboard with no D-pad. That means there would be no additional support for gaming freaks.

(Till we get hold of a picture of the handset, we thought we would show you this pic of  the Maserati Gran Turismo on wheels and the beauty by its side)

We also hear it might come with a 4.0-inch display but we feel a 4.3-inch screen would have been more attractive. Further, the device might offer 4G LTE support along with a removable battery.

Looking at the past chemistry of Motorola and Verizon Wireless, it seems Verizon’s 4G LTE might be the carrier on which the Maserati will be riding on.

A likely successor to the Droid 3, we can expect the device to come powered with a higher version of Android 2.3 OS, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera. The screen could be a qHD display too.

The device has all in it to lure Keyboard lovers more than the touchpad freaks. The rumor mills keep on bringing in something new all the time and we are looking for more on that.

Watch this space as we strive to get hold of some official detailing of Motorola Droid 4 aka the Maserati handheld device.
