Sammy fans, are you ready? The Omnia W is waiting to arrive in your midst. Significant about the device is that it will be powered by the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) OS.

The handset, predecessor to Samsung Omnia 7, comes with some notable features in the screen size, design, thickness and, of course, the Windows Phone version.

It looks stylish and comes in a rectangular shape with slightly different rounded edges. The device sports a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 800 x 480 resolutions, a single core 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM.

The 10.9 mm thin device weighs 115.3 g only. Apart from the Mango update, Samsung has come up with some additional software supporting features.

Some of the striking productivity apps are the Samsung AllShare, Video Call app and a Samsung e-book client.

In Omnia W,  AllShare will allow you to transfer data between smartphones and DLNA devices whereas Video Call app for video conferencing in 3G and e-book client for e-reading.

The wonderful handset will be released first in Italy by this October end and later in Asia.

It seems that Omnia W might have a hard time as it has to compete with the powerful Galaxy S II, Apple  iPhone 5, HTC Titan and others in the market. There are no official details from the Samsung about the launch and pricing of the Omnia W. Stay tuned.
