Runnymede, the long-awaited HTC smartphone is all set to arrive in stores near you. The device at launch will sport the Sensation XL nomenclature and not the rumored HTC Bass name.

The handset, as we had already told you, comes with the Beats Audio feature. Two Beats Audio theme packs will be offered: iBeats earbuds and an over-the-ear Beats Solo headphone.

Unlike the Sensation XE, the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread smartphone is believed to sport a 4.7-inch touchscreen with 960 x 540 qHD resolution,  a 1.5 GHz single-core processor, 768 MB RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory and dual cameras: an 8-megaixel rear shooter with dual flash and a 1.3-megapixel front snapper for video calling.

The high-end Android device is expected to come with HTC Sense 3.5 UI, DLNA capabilities and much more.

The smartphone boasts a high quality camera and sound features. The phone maker will make it available in a white/silver shade and four direct navigational buttons.

We also have for you a 56 second video of the Runnymede /Sensation XL playing smooth on the Vodafone network in theUK.

When it arrives stateside, the device is expected to sport price tags of $838 for the 16 GB version and $885 for the 32 GB variant.

We expect HTC to reveal more about the device along with the Ruby, Vigor and other smartphones at the October 7th event. Stay tuned to know more on that.
