Motorola Xoom 2 Images Out in the Open

Up until now, all you came across were some rumors here and there about the successor of Motorola Xoom.

But now we have something more solid. Leaked images of what is believed to be the Motorola MZ617 – also to be called the Xoom 2 – with more angled corners similar to the Photon 4G and the rumored Droid HD have been spotted in the wild.

The tablet packs what seems to be a 10.1 inch screen and a blue rear camera housing that has the word HD in it, and a front camera. There’s no word on the processor, but we guess it could as well be a quad core. Going by the picture, the tablet looks largely similar to the previous one.

Folks at Droid Life found that it has HDMI and micro USB ports at the bottom, big physical flush buttons on the rear, and no SD slot at first glance. And it has a SIM card slot, LTE probably. But it seems there is no specific carrier branding, it could be heading to any or all of the biggies.

The device is similar in weight to the original Xoom. You get to see a blue tint in the back shot which actually is the protective film, covering the brushed aluminum underneath.

Check out the pictures and let us know what you think.
