New Batman: Arkham City Trailer Shows The Joker Is Still Up To No Good

September 23, 2011, By Christian Davis

In a very selfish way, I’m happy that Batman and the Joker will never work out their differences. Don’t get me wrong, the Joker is a very bad man, but for entertainment’s sake, he’s one of the best villains that we’ve ever seen in the history of comic books. This new trailer shows that the Joker, despite his obvious injuries, is still a force to be reckoned with. At the end of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the Joker was apprehended and was losing his mind. That really makes me wonder how he even got out of Arkham Asylum and ended up controlling Arkham City. I honestly can’t wait to see how the Joker breaks out again and causes havoc.

You can tell just from the trailer that Rocksteady is doing an incredible job with the title and have really tried to step their game up exponentially with Arkham City. The trailer showcases a lot of Batman’s new combat moves like a high diving punch that surprises nearby enemies and some really powerful grapple moves. Batman’s new threat however is who Harley Quinn dubbed “Mr. Hammer”; a big and tall one-armed clown who uses a large metal mallet.

Check out the trailer below and let us know which villain you’re most excited to see in Batman: Arkham City. The game is set to release on October 18th for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and in Novermber on the PC.
