The LG Esteem is all set to enter the MetroPCS. This bit of information was gleaned from a LG Partner portal, where the device was confirmed for the MetroPCS’ 3G/LTE network.

When set along with the other Android princes of the market, the Esteem has relatively lower mouthwatering specs apart from the inclusion of the LTE. When split open, you will find a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor along with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage.

On the surface, the device sports an LCD display of size 4.3-inches and a 5-megapixel camera on the back that’s capable of 720p video recording. The device also features a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat as well.

The Esteem will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and there are rumors of it harboring the latest version of LG’s Optimus UI. The power source is a 1500mAh battery which is speculated to give ample life at a single charge.

MetroPCS ahad in a recent announcement said that their existing EV-DO network would be making way for their 3G service. The company had initially skipped over the 3G development to go ahead with their LTE plans.

MetroPCS usually doesn’t sell their products for a discount with contracts, but in the case of the LG Esteem, it seems the company is putting up a price of $349 with a $100 mail-in-rebate.

The price looks accommodating, but we have no release window yet.
