Next Super Smash Bros Title Revealed?

September 21, 2011, By Christian Davis

When the words fighting game and Nintendo are said in the same sentence, the game Super Smash Bros. should be the first thing that comes to mind. Making a name for itself by allowing our favorite Nintendo characters such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon, and Mr. Game and Watch duke it out in a four player brawler, it’s easily one of the best fighting games we’ve all played. Needless to say, we are all wondering when we’d hear some information about the Wii U installment. During Nintendo’s Press Conference at E3, the only information disclosed was that the title was coming. No trailers or screenshots, just their word. Thanks to Reddit user Hector_Kur a leaked document reveals what may be a the name a logo of the next Smash Bros. game titled, Super Smash Bros. Universe.

Yes, like many other leaks, you have to be skeptical on it’s legitimacy, but this document looks pretty official. There have been three Smash Bros. titles already and none of them ever disappoint. They are great party games and if this turns out to be a launch title for the Wii U, expect the console to sell out just like the Wii did.

Of course, what we’re all curious about is the roster. We’ve seen a lot of characters from Nintendo and in the most recent title, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we saw third party characters such as Snake from the Metal Gear Series and Sonic from Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog enter the arena. Those characters are pretty diverse and played great so hopefully we’ll get those characters back, some brand new ones, as well as past characters that were removed.

Since Capcom messed up by not including their most requested character in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, maybe Nintendo will please the fans and put the blue bomber Mega Man in the title. That would definitely make a lot of people happy. Who would you like the see in the upcoming Smash Bro. title? Let us know in the comments.
